Evaluating a WooCommerce Theme Before You Buy

Nearly every WordPress theme claims "WooCommerce ready" somewhere on its sales page, but that phrase covers a wide range of actual quality. The real test is the product page and the cart and checkout flow, not the shop archive grid. Check whether the theme ships with genuinely styled quantity selectors, variation swatches, and an add-to-cart flow that does not require a full page reload. A theme that looks polished on the homepage but leaves default, unstyled WooCommerce checkout markup is going to cost you more in custom CSS than a slightly pricier, better-integrated option.

Mobile checkout deserves special attention since a large share of shopping traffic is mobile, and a cramped or slow checkout form directly costs conversions. If you are running a multi-vendor marketplace rather than a single-seller shop, confirm compatibility with Dokan or WCFM specifically, because generic WooCommerce compatibility does not guarantee multi-vendor support. Page speed matters more here than almost any other theme category, since a slow product catalog bleeds sales the way a slow blog just bleeds pageviews.
